Merry Christmas My Precious Friends!

Merry Christmas!

I am wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas!  This is such a wonderful time of year for those of us that have families and friends that we love to spend time with.  It can also be a very difficult time of year for those that have lost loved ones and miss them, and for those that have difficult family situations.  I have both.

We have received a wonderful Christmas present this year:  baby Luke!

WELCOME BABY LUKE!

Baby Luke was born on December 21 at 12:18 am!  He came so fast that even his dad missed his birth.  And being two hours away from the hospital, we missed it too!  But we saw him when he was two hours old and we are thrilled!  Mommy and baby are healthy and that is all that matters!  He is so little and cute!  I forget how little a 7 lb 10 oz baby is!  His big sister is already trying to ‘mother’ him and everyone is thrilled with his arrival.  We have so much to be thankful for this Christmas!!  My Mom and Dad are still with us this Christmas and we can celebrate one more precious year together!

We also have something to be sad about this Christmas.  A family member that has struggled with addiction issues for the better part of their life is not doing well at all.  They have spiraled down and down and down into a pit of hell.  In fact they have been near death several times over the last couple of months.  They have lost their home, all their money, their job, their friends, and will be homeless in less than a week.  I pray for them as well as anyone else who has loved ones in similar situations.  Addiction is an evil disease that can take everyone that loves them down with them into their deep, dark hole.  We are praying that this person figures it out.  We have tried to help over and over.   Our hearts are broken.  Our help has been taken advantage of and then thrown away many, many times.  We are exhausted in our endeavor.  All that is left is prayer.  BUT God is able to deliver, so that is our prayer.  We are helpless in ourselves so we need a miracle of God!  Please, if you believe in prayer, join with us in our request for a deliverance miracle!

Praying for all of you, that you have a wonderful Christmas celebrating the reason for the season:  Jesus!  He alone gives us the gift of His hope, His peace, His love and His joy.

Merry Christmas my precious friends AND thank you for your prayers!
