It is a new day!

It is a new day, with my new blog with a newly created sewing area.  Never thought I would ever want to blog, but since I discovered the "quilter's blogs", I am inspired to create my own.  It will be a record and hopefully an inspiration to me as well as other quilters. At least that is my intention.

Today... It was a new day.  I was so excited for today since it was my first full day when I did not have anything else on my schedule but to sew!  After 4 months of looking for the perfect desk (in my price-range of CHEAP), my hubby and I found it and set it up last weekend.  It is L-shaped and fits perfectly in the corner of the spare bedroom.  One side of the desk is organized with computer and desk-type stuff and the other side is ALL MINE for sewing!  I have never had a designated sewing area and I am in "sewing heaven"!!  Woo Hoo!  Never again will I have to sew, then clean up, then sew, then clean up, etc, etc.  Now, I can create and sew and leave it out until the next day.  Rinse and Repeat!  I am thrilled!  It is the little things that make me so excited!
Today.... so I dug out some blocks that I had sewn in year 2001.  Finally I will create and finish a quilt with them!  They were part of a Block of the Month Club sponsered by a local quilt shop, that I think has long been out of business. :(  I loved the fabrics when I participated in the BOM and am thrilled to be able to finally work with them.  I have completed several quilts since 2001, but these blocks were among many, many BOM's and exchanges that have been waiting their turn.
I layed the blocks out on the bed. I think I like this!
