Well, my DD, DDIL and I DID “Dream the Dream” on July 9th by going to see the touring Broadway musical, “Les Miserables” at the Ahmanson Theater in Los Angeles, California. All I can say is, “WOW, WOW, WOW”! The live orchestra, the beautiful voices, the intense story-line, and the incredible stage scenery was just fantastic! What a pleasurable experience. This was my 4th time seeing this musical, the last time being over 10 years ago and this had to be the BEST performance! As soon as it was over, I wanted to watch the 3 hour musical again!! If you ever get a chance to see this musical, I highly recommend it! This particular showing goes through July 31, so you have time to get tickets! I would definitely go again this year, if it was within my budget! Thank you my sweet daughter for the wonderful gift

In between helping my elderly parents with shopping, cooking, laundry, housekeeping as such, I am still fitting in my quilting. Still quilting on my “secret” quilt. I have over 20 hours of hand-quilting on it and am barely 1/3 done. Machine quilting is sounding better and better (never done it before!)
AND..... I ended up purchasing this pattern:
Yoyoville
from Bunny Hill Designs. I am copying Karen from Karen’s Quilting and not doing yo yos but appliquéing circles instead. Here is her quilt. "Going in Circles" Karen's blog has so inspired me to get busy! She is always working on something new!! I will do my border like the YoYoville pattern shows and the whole thing will be very scrappy. I have done 80 circles so far, so it will be a long term hand project! I just LOVE this pattern!
Also last week I got to babysit my precious granddaughter, Grace for two nights and days. What a joy she is. Her smile just melts my heart. I love being her grandma!!
This is Grace and her little friend Owen, sharing a teeter-totter! Aren't they just so cute?
Happy Quilting!

Hi Linda
SO glad you enjoyed the show, know you had been looking forward to it. The pattern looks great, can't wait to see your version of it. Your granddaughter is a stunner.

I saw Les Mis about 15 years ago, too, and I LOVED it as well. I would love to see it again. I like that pattern, and I would do the circles just like you. It's exactly what I was thinking when you showed the pattern! Good luck with it!
